Code Status is a simulation, not a health service.

It is an educational emergency medicine simulation built around fictional patient cases, written for clinicians and medical learners. It is for training only and is not intended for real-world patient care, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decision-making.

The content is fictional.

Every patient, presentation, investigation, result, medication and procedure is authored for teaching. No case depicts a real person or a real encounter.

It is not medical advice.

Nothing here should be used to guide the care of an actual patient.

In a real emergency, contact emergency services.

It is not a medical device or a health service.

Code Status is not a health service. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or manage any real person, and it offers no decision support at the bedside. It does not connect to electronic health records, hospital systems, medical devices, or Apple Health, and it holds no health information about anyone.

It does not replace training, supervision or local protocol.

Clinical practice varies by institution, region and resource setting, and your own department’s guidance governs. Cases may not reflect every clinical scenario, or the most current practice guideline.

Scoring is a teaching device.

A score reflects performance against one case’s authored rubric. It is not an assessment of clinical competence and scores should be interpreted within the context of each individual case.
